Color Change

Posted by Courtney on July 6, 2014 at 12:15 AM Comments comments (1)

I apologize for the color change as I know the green is the preferred color, both of ours. However, since I recently made some changes to the website I thought if you happened just to get to reminisincing, as I do, and took a quick look at the website that a new color was likely to catch your attention. Brown seemed less forbidding and mournful than black, and for some reason the blue has always irked me.

Anyways I find myself visiting the website quite often this summer, probably fairly obvious of my invention of an entirely new character. Alas, you don't seem to be as wishful and haven't responded as I hope. For all I know I am writing a message that will never be read. I was tempted to try more directs forms of contact, ones I knew you would look at, yet I found I felt bad. How often have I dragged you back to type a story with me only to give up as soon as something else engaged my attention? I don't know if you knew, but I've always felt very bad about that because you tend to recommit longer than I do. And I know that the story of Rhune is probably reached its inevitable demise.

I think the reason I am so keen to pursue it is I have a great urge to write, with stories always in my head, but that I have trouble motivating myself. With you as a partner I had a commitment to fulfill and it kept me writing. And I miss it dearly. To be honest, I've thought about searching for a new partner to write with, but it wouldn't be the same. I haven't even shared the fact that I write with basically any friends but yourself, and certainly not to the depth I've shared with you, not even my family. And although the internet harbors an endless number of writers, it would never be as comfortable as writing with someone who I knew and who I knew their writing style and interests.

So although it is wistful thinking, I find myself wishing to write once again with you. But I know I couldn't ask that of you. So instead I have pulled up an empty word document on my screen that stares blankly at me. I love planning out stories, but I hate beginning them. Writing alone just doesn't have the same draw.

I realize what was supposed to be a quick post about my choice of brown as a color has turned into me whining about myself in a depressing way. I'll get off my soapbox. I hope that, if you read this while it is still summer, that you have a wonderful summer. And I better get to typing at least a sentence on the blank document so it doesn't look so dang depressing.

Sincerely,

Courtney

Character Interactions

Okay, just wanted to organize and plan for when our characters talk and meet that way it's just so much easier and more logical and realistic. Examples of the immediate future: Sharely and Robin (have an idea for them to meet up again) and then ofcourse Zayde and Hannah. Maybe for when Sharely and Hannah meet, too. idk if Trei will be there or not, so cant help there. But for Sharely and Robin have them meet up at Azmarine's sacrifice and Robin can notice Sharely saving his sister and then yeah. Whatcha think?

New Character

Okay, since we were talking about new characters on the profiles anyways I figured we mine as well move it. I hate using just the profiles, I miss using the blog.

Anyways, continuing the profile conversation, I had said Xirra not Folic, which I guess is what you thought since you said something about a guard? I don't know, either way, her name is Sara, but since she is in Xirra her current name is Robin. I'm hoping to get an entry for her in this weekend, but I don't know.

I have to do Trei and Hannah and Amir's meeting, which a lot is done. But since at the moment Karillian and Zayde aren't involved they will probably be longer entries, which is good and bad I guess. Anyways that should definitely be up this weekend.

So any questions about Robin? I'm excited, like Hannah's always been my favorite but I already love this character. I feel bad almost though, can you feel bad for your character?

Re: Creatures

I really hate my parent's internet lock. It wont let me comment, though I got my dad to unlock it once, and all the times I had tried to reply were posted....so sorry about that. But about the creatures, their below...

Serpa- its plural form is Serpios. This creature is a small serpent with wings, native to Caryi deserts but can be found in warm, dry enviorments such as beaches or dry forests. They are naturally wild, but are common pets for the desert people of Caryi and are very gentle despite it's scalish and sharp apperance. These serpents come in colors normal snakes would have (green, reddish brown, gold, and black or mixes ect.). They like curled positions and are normally found wrapped around a pole, branch, or their owner's finger. The only dangerous thing about them is if they a are bred to bite with their retractable fangs, which hold poison. They range from 6 inches to 24 inches, and males weld a more deadly poison than females. They also make good messangers, being a lot smarter than regualr serpents.

Phantu- plural form: Phantus. These deadly creatures are closely related to its cousin the Howler. Its joints allow it to be less than a foot from the floor, though it can stand up to six feet from head to toe. It has the same dark colorings and wolfish apperance as Howlers, though Phantus tend to slink around in shadows instead of a straight attack. Their ears and muzzle are a shorter than a Howler's, but they have scent glands at the top of their mouths like a feline that intensify their scent ability, but not quite to the ability of the Howlers. Their fangs range from an inch to three inches, and can (if male) inject fiery poison. The poison also affects the skin by making it bubble with puss. They can run faster than a regular horse. They only eat meat, no water or anything else. They can run or track for two days at a time, and their jaw is strong, but only 3/5ths of the strength of a howler. If you look into this creature's eyes, you become hypnotized and think nothing, feel nothing, you just stay with out any feeling. These creatures are found only in Caryi, and have been tried to adapt to other places, but they have not survived yet.
