The World of Rhune

Kari sighed, frustrated. He was right, in some ways. He could help them, but not give them salvation. She held her bow level, thankful she had drawn the poisoned ones, not the regular. She could see the hate in his eyes, and she did care one bit. She stepped around her brother as the boy tried to get a look at him. The sad thing for her, though, is that she could completely match his hate. She could tell they though the same way, or atleast close. She wished the world werent so complicated, she wished that by telling him their position, and that they would leave in no time, she would not be looked upon as weakness. Kari raised her head high "Prince, I mean you no harm. I hope you mean me and my brother the same. Can you not take a bit compassion for my brother? A ten minute truce. Enough time for me to leave. You bore me with your threats. They take no effect on me." Lie through your teeth Kari told herself. She moved her arrow down an inch, it was no longer pointed at the boy. but at the pegasus. "Well? Are you going to be humane? Or continue the sole life of a devil?"

Kari accused, but her voice no longer filled with true hate. She was tired now, her body drained of two straight days awake, this, and barely any food or water. It was a life no human deserved. She felt her self sigh with exashtion without herself even knowing it. Normaly she could have held her own, now she was on the verge of collapsing. She looked into the hatefilled eyes of the prince, but gave none of her exashtion away. Part of her rashness was probably from crankyness of lack of sleep. Her body was wind chapped and dry, and her throat had ached before the harsh words had been spoken from it. Please, just let there be a truce Kari begged silently. She looked up still at the prince. He looked as if he were kind. He was just getting through this like she was. Please Kari willed, she forced herself to stay awake, to hold those hate filled eyes.
