Kari hated that he was taking back the pegasi she and Zay had ridden on. She also hated the howlers, but she was not afraid. She was too tired really to think anything. And she had dealt with their cousins, the phantu's just recently. She noticed Zayde start to wake up on his mount, and she quickly grabbed her stuff, allowing a chilling glance at the boy. She stamped out the fire, and narrowed her eyes as the boy accused her of being afraid of the howlers. She swung onto the mare as gracefully as she could master, and grabbed Zay's reins. "We need to hurry, now" Kari spoke, "Whaa?" Zay asked sleepily, waking up. "Try to sleep more. We'll be off these brutes soon." Kari reassured her brother. "Whose this?" Zay's words were slurred, but comprihensible. "Someone who is going to help." They Zay let out a choked scream as he saw the howlers, and that actually made Kari proud. Zay had just been torn up by the creature's close cousin, and that was all the freaking out that had come from him, that was pretty good. "Lead on" Kari called to the prince. Kari clicked for her's and Zay's mares to go on, and Kari and Zay followed a boy only Kari had threatened for a minute into the dense forest of Andato.
