Bella looked in the mirror at herself. Today she had turned eighteen, and her whole kingdom of Ralea was celebrating tonight. Her fiance, Gent, was going to be there too. She swirled slightly in front of her mirror, her lavender dress sparkled from the silver designs etched into the flowy fabric. Her dark hair fell in ringlets around her very light tanned skin, and her tiara shined in the last of the evening's sun. She looked beautiful. Valdonna had done a good job tonight, picking out exactly what she was to wear and look like. He had always been the best for her, and always made her the envy of the kingdom. She looked into the mirror, and met eyes with herself, smiling happily how they were a two toned green with a ring of fire in the middle. "Time to go, mistress," a servant piped from the doorway. "Ofcourse," Bella replied and slipped into her heeled shoes. She liked how the heels made her feel tall, but an average tall. Not that she was short, but all girls liked feeling a bit taller. She walked gracefully down the hallways of her palace, noticing how clean the deep red carpets were, the white tilled walls how they reflected the chandaliers and numerous candles that lit up the walkway. She listened through the open windows the gentle lapping of the sea as it rolled and broke on shore. Bella looked around at random things as she walked to the grand ballroom. She could already hear the music and the low buzz of people. She escalated up the steps to the annunciating floor, and looked through the one way glass at her subjects. "Boo," a deep, warm voice whispered into her ear, causing her to jump slightly. "Gent" Bella complained happily with a smile. She had been doing that a lot lately. "Happy Birthday, Bella" He said, and squeezed her with his musclular arms. "Thanks, arent you supposed to be down there?" Bella asked her fiance with a raised, carefully plucked eyebrow. "I asked your parents," Came a simple reply. "Okay," Bella quickly dismissed the subject. She leaned on Gent's shoulder, but quickly straightened as the royal announcer came with two servants to draw the curtains and doors. "Ready, your highnessess?" he asked respectfully, "Yes, thank you," Bella replied nicely. She and Gent positioned themselves infront of the glass door, "You look nice tonight," Gent said, squeezing her hand slightly. "That's all, just nice?" Bella teased back. "No, I had a long list com--" "Announcing Princessa Isabella Maria of Ralea!" cried the royal announcer and the curtains and doors were opened, and the princess was greeted by atleast a thousand of her people. She smiled at everyone, feeling all the happiness from everyone there, including her parents. She looked at all the decorations, the giant cakes with glass like sugar tops, the soups and fish spread upon every table. And her favorite, small drops of chocolate with a little bit of mint inside it. Bella wove her way down the steps into the party at a nice speed, just like she'd rehersed, and went to join the party.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bella was feeling great, overly happy, and was having the best time of her life. Half of the party was made up of people her age, and since she was eighteen, she was allowed to legally drink. Her legs felt somewhat numb from walking around on them so much, and her parents had left her be about three hours ago. Bella did the math, three hours ago, it was eleven o'clock. "Whoa, Gent, it's two." Bella said, her words slightly slurred. "Yeah, what a party, right Bella?" Gent replied, smiling at Bella's slurred words, since he had drunken only a glass of wine, and was completely incontrol of himself. "Uh-uh, wonder when it's gonna end?" She said, making her way to the food tables. "Dont know," Gent gently swivled Bella from the achloholic table to a door that opened into a balcony. "Feel better?" Gent asked as Bella breathed in the salty air, opening up her head. "Yeah, thanks a lot. Hope my parents didnt really see me," Bella said as she clasped the edge of the railing to the balcony to keep from swaying. She felt somewhat like she was going to hurl, she hoped no one was below her... "Let's hope you learned your lesson," Gent teased with a smile, rubbing Bella's back softly. "I'm just glad you learned yours before I met you, who knows what I would have done," Bella half laughed. Her mind still felt foggy, and really wasnt up for much thinking. "Yeah, I was worse than you. Atleast you have some of your head, I accidentally bashed mine." Gent smiled. "I ran into a rock wall," Bella smiled, and made out Gent's slightly abashed face, but that's why Bella was okay that she had to marry him. He was nice, didnt really treat her like a slave like she'd seen other boys treat her and her friends. Plus, he wasnt afraid to admit his faults. "Thanks," Bella said, regaining her head a little more, "For what?" came his usual reply. Bella never knew if it was genuine, or just to make her tell him why. "For everything," Bella responded, and leaned more on Gent. He wrapped his arms around her and looked up at the sky. "Looks like the sky has given you it's own present--a beautiful night with a full moon and a glimpse at Triton's Star." Gent pointed out, and Bella looked up. He was right. The sky looked flawless, to her. And Triton's Star was shining, the same star that always appeared on her birthday, but no other day. The preists had claimed it to be somthing special, but she waved them away when they tried to implore that. There were many people with the same birthday as her, and they didnt claim those people were special. "It is pretty  tonight, but most nights are pretty. Except for tempests and tidal waves." Gent nodded his head, and just stood there with Bella in his arms. Bella felt so peacful, she could fall asleep, and she nearly did. But she felt Gent shift, and his lips lightly touch hers, and how they stayed there for a while before Bella broke for air. Not that she broke for long, but every human, even ones who can go with out breathing for a bit, needs air. Bella twisted to face Gent again and kissed him once more before her friend Celia came and lightly knocked on the frame of the balcony doors. "Your parents are looking for you, and didnt think you'd want them to find you like this." Celia smiled and gestured to how Gent and Bella were standing. Bella blushed, and Gent just smiled back at Celia, taking up his normal stance. "And where's your date?" Bella asked, knowing Celia wasnt betrothed at all, and didnt want to marry. "Drunk from his drinking contest with a buddy. Honestly, what goes through guy's minds?" Celia said as if Gent wasnt there, "I dont know, but then again, they're guys. That in itself is an explanation," Bella agreed with Celia, flashing taunting eyes at Gent, who was just watching the pair try and insult him with a regular fixed grin, waiting until they tired themselves out. "Bella?" the three teenagers heard the King ask through the hall. "Coming papa" Bella said quickly and left the balcony with Celia and Gent leaving toward the sushi table. "I'm just saying right now, while you two where wondering what goes through  gentlemen's heads, from the spectacle of you, I was wondering what was going through your heads!" Gent teased Celia, and realized he'd been doing a lot of that lately. "Well, atleast we have somthing going through our heads, unlike boys' minds." Celia countered, picking up a peice of sushi and adding soy sauce on it. "We have plenty going through our minds, unlike girls who are always thinking about shoes. That's what they always have going through their minds, fashion." Gent took the soy sauce from Celia and dribbled it onto his own piece of sushi. "The exact science of fashion is an incredible study, as shone" Celia picked up a side of her lengthy dress, showing the theatrics that went into the little blue dress. "Ofcourse," Gent rolled his eyes and made his way to Bella. She was sitting with her parents, of whom her mother was eyeing her worriedly, knowing she was slightly drunk. "I think it's time to close this party. Too many kids have become drunk, and half the guests have gone anyways darling. The drunk number includes you, dear." King Marcelo reasoned with his daughter. Bella let her mouth fall when he counted her in the drunk list, be made no further respondence. "Bella, it's time for you to go to bed. Your party has been atleast seven hours, and it's near three in the morning!" Queen Grace said, backing up her husband. Bella eyed her parents, and let her shoulders drop. "Fine then, goodnight." Bella stoo up and almost knocked into Gent. 'Night," Bella said with a lopsided smile, and then left the hall. "Should I...?" Gent began "Yes, who knows what trouble she'll find alone" the King answered before the Queen could, and winked at Gent. Gent smiled back with crinkled eyes and then left after Bella, finishing his sushi along the way. He caught Bella walking somewhat wobbly towards her room and quickly caught her before she ran into a suit of armor. "Let me help," Gent suggested as he walked Bella around the corner and to her room. "I'm...fine...seriously" Bella did look better, but not by much. Gent quickly rang

the servant bell and laid Bella on her bed, sitting on a side chair. "Lay down," Bella said dopily from lack of sleep and from the spirits she had drinken earlier. "Not yet, in three weeks, when you marry me, sure." Gent said, taking Bella's hands and laying them back on her bed. Bella's eyebrows furled slightly in thought, but then smoothed out with comprehension. "Okay," she said closing her eyes. He heard the shuffling of a servant down the hall, and stood up. "Night, Isabella." He said gently. Bella grabbed his hand, "night," she said with a smile. Gent smiled back, kissed her quickly and quietly, and left before the servant came in.
