Bella could not believe Gent had acted so stubborn, so jelous as to break up her and Avery when they hadnt seen each other in years. Avery had been, and still was, one of her closest friends. If Gent hadnt been in the equation, her parents probably would have had her marry Avery. He was the most powerful son of his father, who was second most powerful Lord. Not that he acted like that, but still. She sprinted across the sand, just out of Gent's reach. He had never really been a runner, but he was a magnificent swimmer and could handle a boat with no problem. But Gent did have the long legs, and was keeping up with her. Bella ran until she came up to the palace grounds. She majesticly walked up the steps to her wing of the palace, completly ignoring Gent. It actually felt good. Bella walked to her room with Gent still on her heels when he blocked it. "Bella, be reasonable." He said, his torso blocking the door handle. "Gent let me in," Bella said her eyes willing him to defy her. "No," he said, keeping his power over her. "Fine, bye." Bella shoved her stuff into his hands as a moment to stop him and sprinted around the corner to an open window. She easliy lept onto the sill. "Gent, have a nice day." She said snarkily, and then free fell backwards. "Bella!" Gent screamed, just missing her hand as she fell back. The best thing for Bella though, was that she was smiling as she put her hands together and angled her body into a dive, but flipped first and angled back into a dive before hitting the surface of her family's private pool, huge and atleast twenty feet deep where she had jumped in. Bella surfaced and smiled with narrowed eyes at Gent, and swam to the steps, pulling herself out and accepting a towel from a servant. "Isabella Maria!" a new voice shouted. Bella looked up to her parent in their swimming suits and coverups. Her parents were glaring at her. "Hi, just on my way to meet you Mommy and Daddy!" Bella gave a winning smile, but her parents werent fooled. "Isabella! Why did you do that?" her mother grilled her, boring holes into Bella. "Ask him," Bella pointed to where Gent was mentally beating himself in view of the window. She shrugged, "Are we going?" "Bella, I never want you to do that again, you understand?" Her father chastised her thouroghly. "Yes, I get it," Her mother grimaced, but let it slide. They started towards the carriages and Bella picked up another towel.
"Mind telling us what that was all about?" Queen Grace asked as they rode to the south shore. "Yep," Bella said, staring out the window at the towns they passed through. She saw many people in tunics selling wares and so forth. Marcelo spoke up after, "Bella, your mother isnt asking whether you'd like to tell or not, she's commanding you tell us." Bella sighed. Her parents always ganged up on her, the bad part of being an only child. "Gent was rude, and I was ignoring him for it, and he blocked my bedroom and I needed to get in to change for here, but he didnt let me and I was already in a swimsuit so I figured another way to get out and away from him while giving him a good shock, and the window was the perfect solution." Bella said simply, as if it was nothing. Her father frowned. "Bella, this isnt good for a healthy realationship. You'll be marrying him within weeks. Why start an arguement now?" Grace asked. "Because he started it, now I dont want to talk about it." Bella replied, and started staring out the window again. It was maybe four thirty in the afternoon now, enough time to swim. They arrived at the beach with Gent there, for he'd ridden his own single steed, which was much faster than carriage. "Bella, Queen and King," he greeted the royal family, sitting under a beach umbrella. "Gent," Her parents replied, but Bella said nothing. She walked down to the water and let the waves wash over her feet. Warmer than the one she was in earlier. Bella walked into the blissfully warm water until it was past her waist, and looked to see if Avery had come near. She dived under the surf and opened her eyes to the sealife, the salt not burning her eyes from her natural immunity. She looked at the corals and diffrent sea weeds waving back and forth with the tide. She saw little starfish clinging to mossy rocks, and sea annenomies in little holes. She even saw a small eel pop out of his hole, only to return at the sight of her. Bella surfaced for air and ducked back under, gliding just below the surface and watching the sea life. She saw tuna and barnacles and more under water plants. She saw a small lobster scuttle and picked it up just behind it's claws. She turned it around and looked at its little body, then let it drop. She felt really peacful, and natural in the ocean. Bella went up for air again, noticing she was a good forty feet from the shore line. She kept swimming though, staying close to the water trying to stay out of sight. If she got to sixty feet out, there was a porpise pack swimming around there. Not that her parents would let her. You are a princess, not a fish, and should act that way Bella mimicked in her mind. She imagined her mother shaking her index finger back and forth at her. Then she was aware of a figure swimming pretty fast shooting straight at her. Bella instantly reacted and started swimming away, out toward the open ocean. Forty-five...fifty...fifty-five. Bella swam closer and closer to her desination, but so did the figure, closer than she last checked. She swam until she saw a flipper, and knew she'd made her destination, but the figure was still propelling closer to her. Bella quickly looked around, clicking with her tongue. If she could catch a dolphin ride, the figure wouldnt have a chance. She looked to find a two dolphins approaching cautiously. Bella clicked again, and the dolphins came up to her a little bit faster. Bella made sure to blink, and not smile. When the doplhins came close enough, she lighlty hung onto it's fin and let it take her away. She was lucky the porpise was naturally nice. Bella took another look at the figure as it broke to the surface. It had sunstreaked hair and was tan..."Avery" Bella acknowledged. "Took you long enough, like what, thirty feet?" he said, paddling strongly to her. Bella let go of the dolphin, but it didnt leave. She cracked a smile, glad it wasnt Gent. "Sorry about earlier and the sudden leave." Bella apologized, swimming towards him. "Its cool, who knows, I probably would have done the same thing." Avery said, reaching Bella. "Yeah, probably. Wish you'd been at my party last night," Bella said, egg beatering to keep a float. "Yeah, sorry about that. Sick aunt not that I really liked her, but she sent chocolate every holiday." Avery shrugged, filling his chest with air and floating on his back. "That's mean," Bella teased, and ducked her head under the surf to pull her hair back flat. "So where you want to go?" Avery asked, absorbing the late sun. "I wanted to swim with these guys." Bella motioned to the porpises. "Cool, after you want to try body surfing?" "Everything is about surfing, isnt it?" Bella teased, and swam to the nearest dolphin. "Pretty much, that's why I was voted hotest surfer guy ever." Avery grinned, swimming up to the dolphins' buddy. "By who? Your mom?" Bella shot back, wrapping her arms around the dolphin's fin. "Hey how'd ya know?" Avery teased back, already being pulled by the dolphin. "Bet mine's faster," "Ells, you always say that, and you never win. I musta gotten thirty silvers from you over the years. Plus, I am the master at everything." Avery said, but nudged his dolphin and went shooting across the water. "No fair! I didnt even bet you anything!" Bella laughed, and shot after him.
