Trei watched the two leave into the forest. He went back into the cabin and did a clean sweep, picking up and packing everything back up. He put Nocte’s armor on and mounted up. He didn’t leave the clearing instead he stood his ground. It was probably a hunter out in the forest, or a passing by merchant. The likely hood of it being an enemy was slim but if Caryi had alerted the rest of Rhune about the Prince and Princess running away it probably wouldn’t be safe for them. He waited casually, resting in the saddle, stroking Nocte’s neck. The howlers paced around Nocte, looking agitated, Trei called to them, “Sedersi.” The four immediately sat positioned around Nocte.

Soon even Trei could hear the oncoming group, definitely on horses and a large group by the sound of it. As they neared Trei recognized the uniforms of the King’s Own and road up to meet them. There were six of them, mounted on winged horses from the royal herd. The leader called out, “Prince Trei,” and the six bowed their heads. “Hello, General, why do you proceed this way?” Trei returned to the language he had been taught was appropriate for a Prince. “In search for you, my Prince,” The leader responded raising his head to look Trei in the yes. “In search for me,” Trei was momentarily bewildered, “Why?” “The royal Prince and Princess of Cancri have journeyed to meet the royal family, and now they are only a day’s sail away. The King and Queen call you home to prepare.” “Why was O not aware of this earlier? Should I not have been notified?” Trei questioned. “I have only a small understanding of the matter, but of this I understand the monarchs did not expect you to leave and they planned on telling you when you returned, but the Cancrinian ships have sailed faster than we expected and have come early.” Trei nodded, “I understand. You may accompany back to the castle.” Trei clicked his tongue and took his place in the front of the group, the general directly to his right. “Seguire,” Trei commanded the howlers and he clicked his tongue twice, urging Nocte to a canter towards the capital.
