Karillian had waited ten minutes until annoying guards showed up to "escort" them. She had been waiting ten minutes too long. Zayde was fine with this, he was always the quieter one, but that's because he was constantly thinking. Not that he wasnt great with metal or fist fights like all princes, but he was better at being a scholar and an amazing stratigist, that's where Kari balanced him out. She was horrible when it came to thinking, because it wasnt somthing you could see its weaknesses or where to hold it, it was just nothing. But Kari had a knack for leading, not that Zay ever truly let himself go under her, but she was also agreeable with basically all weapons. Except for a sword, well, a Caryian sword. It was odd for her, curved and heavy at the base. Ralean swords fit her best, they were light but made of the best metal from trading with Icladia, a major metal place. Not that Caryi wasnt, but they mined stone and rock, such as limestone or gold. Not metal... "Katya, Katya!" Zay was hissing under his breath, trying to retrieve her from la la land, as her mother used to put it. "Yeah?" Kari said annoyed, but really it was at the guards that completely encased and were shooting unerving glances at them. Not that it affected her, but withing the last, what? Four days she'd expirienced atleast just as much as these...these..."Wait, what did you just...oh," Kari started, and then remembered what they would have as fake names, since saying their names would be just as bad as shooting off fireworks saying "We are here, KARILLIAN AND ZAYDE" to her parents or Sunste. She knew how her parents had spies basically everywhere, and how fast info like that traveled. They'd be caught within the hour. "Sorry... Demetrey." Zay shook his head barely at his twin with a smile at the corneres of his dark lips. When he was younger, that was always the fake name he gave himself, so why not use it for real now? Kari had always dreamed of Katya as her name, instead of Karillian. Funny how we're using our dream names. Cause this is just a big old fun dream all right Kari thought sarcasticly, shooting a glare at any of the guards who dared look back at her. "Katya, would you stop it? These people are taking us to Prince Trei del Sole, be glad." Kari looked at her twin and rolled her eyes. He was so annoying when he got all official, when it was just so much easier to just show his hate like she knew he had. Zay's looked pointedly at his sister and gave up. Just take it, it wasnt like there was a dress code. Zay let his causal face show, and slipped into thought. What would they do when they talked with the prince? Well, first kick Kari for saying whatever she's brewing in her mind right now. Zayde tried to hide a quick grin at the thought of Kari thinking, and got puzzled eyes from Kari. "Your expenc-" Kari punched her brother, getting warning signs from the uneasy guards. "What? You never punch someone once in a while? Geez, I'll telling the prince you people need to get out once in a while.." Kari was about to say lamos, but then she would have been punched by Zayde and who knows where she would have gotten taken. They looked back at her with...well...she didnt really know. It was a mix of annoyance, hatred, and just plain non trust. I'll have Zayde make up a word for it. Kari hid her smile way better than her brother and turned it into another glare. The same guard kept looking back on the twins and she was getting pissed at him. Her feelings cooled slightly as they entered the palace and were escorted up a whole bunch of stairs. She was dog tired by the end, but not enough so that she had enough energy to throw a couple of zingers at Trei. Zay looked sideways to his sister's face darkening as they drew nearer until they came up to a door and the guard rapped hard, but strangly light. Kari's cue to go brat, Zayde's cue to keep her in a blurry line. The prince himself, "Ooh, Ahh," Kari said sarcastically, meeting the prince's eyes but saying it under her breath so only Zayde caught it. She got punched, just like Zay had thought, but he couldnt help but try and muffle his light and airy laughter. The guards looked at them again with the weird look. "You need to make up a name for what ever these guys are, Demetrey. Its a name for a miz of..." Zayde looked at her with silent chastising. "Good, so you get what I'm saying." Zay breathed out harshly and rolled his eyes. "Hello...again. I give you permission to kick my sister once her butt crosses through the door," Zay greeted, finding a way to somewhat lighten the mood while getting back at Kari. "You touch me, you...I'll finish that later..." Kari eyed the glaring guards. "So are you going to let us in? Or are the creeps going to listen to be nosy Noras?" That was pure happiness for her. The guards were creeping her out, and that phrase was total truth. And Zay knew it, the guards tensened and one shot Trei a silent look, and had a silent conversation. After ten seconds, Kari feined bordem. "If you gossiping girls would excuse yourselves and continue the tea party later, it'd be much appreciated." Kari looked at the fully armored guard and the powerful prince, so not a tea party, but it felt kind of funny to call them that. "Do you see their faces?" Kari whispered to Zay, who in his head as laughing because it was such a sight, but glared at his twin devil. "Can we come in? I think Kar--Katya would do better if she cant see the guards, even if they can see her." He wasnt an idiot, he knew the prince is under constant watch somehow. What monarch or future monarch wasnt? "Dont say a word," Zay's face was fakely light. He would probably be in the room or where ever talking with Trei had she not been here. "I wouldnt hold your breath." "Atleast I can hold it longer than you," Zay looked straight at Kari, and she looked back. Zay broke first, trying not to smile, but his lips kept pulling up into a smile. Kari started snickering, and looked at the prince. What we must look like to him...good Kari thought, not trying at all to suprense her snickering, and tacked on the last word. Zay had finally gotten a hold of himself. He just couldnt resist, it had been their joke since forever, the I'm better than you thing. It would never ware off. He looked at the prince, finally happy after four days of miserable pain. Not that there wasnt anymore pain left...it stil laced and burned up his leg, but it was better, and he couldnt completely feel it. Zay looked from Kari, to Trei, his eyes brighter and full of short lasting happiness.
