Naturally, Karillian had been about to say a whole bunch of nice stuff, for once in her life. That was her way of dealing with fear, when they were flying (and Zay was dying) she'd told him a million funny jokes to keep herself sane. And now that this prince here just goes all out yelling, well, it didnt register right with her. That wasnt how the real world went, where you could yell at someone for not being nice to them and they'd actually listen. Sadly, Kari wasnt in the real world right now either. In the real world, she'd be trapped in the temple and never would have been able to run away. Mess up on her parents part. But Trei deserved an answer, it was a so-so speech, Like you could have done better, Kari thought sadly to herself. She'd try though, she had learned a lot from Zayde. Kari pulled herself up from the wall, and looked straight at the cold, there's that mix of feeling again! I need to ask Zayde...actually I could ask Trei since it seems to be seen only in Andato so far. This part made Kari smile to herself a little bit, but her face was stone cold on the prince's, and then came a new thought, and she laughed darkly, "You think this is my personality, or you also think I'm doing it just to you? New flash, buddy, world doesnt revolve around you." Kari let a smile reach her face, and lowly shook her head side to side. "I bet right now, you are really stupid. Yeah, you're book smart and warrior smart, though warrior better than me, i don know.." Kari rolled her eyes at her self, and continued, "But you're a horrible people person. Just think about it from my point of view, you, out of the blue, get told you're getting married to someone you dont know at all and that just happens to be you nightmare. People hate spiders, Zayde now hates Phantus, I have always hated arranged marriages. Okay, so you have that. Now I have to escape, which I did, but half way I hear the bloody howling of Phantus, and you're running for your life if those guys are on you. Once they catch up, you hear Zayde screeching bloody murder, 'cause he basically just got death bites. After, your mount goes somewhere you dont even know, a good couple hundred feet up, and you have never ridden one in your life. Great picture, right?" Kari took a breath, and got to her real reasoning, pacing the opposite way and putting her weight on one leg. "Then we land like we're going to die. Zayde is dying. And then out of no where, freaking us out, angel of death comes saying we're gonna die cause we have Cavalli Voltani. Great greeting, dont ya think? And then it naturally goes from there. You think you're all that, and that you're helping us so much. You're helping Zayde get better, but you're not helping me and you're not helping my ego at all. If you were in my position, when I first met you, wouldnt you scrabble for some shred of respect? Some way to seem like you're not in ashes, like you're still worth somthing? Just act like you're equal, or better, to just prove to yourself and that other person you're still in charge and you're still worth it. I am not going to be shoved down and just give in. I havent done it for about four days in running, and I'm not going to start now. You'd throw a lot of pf stuff in my face had I acted all tuff and like I'm an angel of god, and like I'm so much better and I'll do everything since you're about as good as a five year old. Get. The. Picture? Funny though, you dont even know me. You have no clue anything besides the little Zayde could have told you. Honestly, you're okay. You're not great cause you're from another country will really weird stuff in it, but as a person, you're not on my hate list right now. You're more on my need to defend Zayde from list. About twenty people have gotten on that list, so congrats," Kari spun on her heels, thanking herself for the room sweep earlier and walked out of the room into another, leaving an oddly cold yet different feeling in the air than when she'd started her small speech. Good job, Kari, you actually got through one speech in your life. Kari smiled to herself, not paying attention to the furnature in the room. "Thanks" she whispered, happy for once.

Zayde was astounded at his sister. She'd made it through a whole speech! She hadnt stuttered, no one had helped her, it was a miracle! Plus, she was actually a little nice at the end. For Karillian Zayde had to smile, and looked over at Trei. "I have to hand it to her, that was good." he hesitated, and then decided somewhere inside him he'd have to eventually trust Trei. "For being dyslexic and ADD," Zayde whispered the last part, but how he said it told pretty much everything about Kari's inability to learn right and to read, or make speeches. "That's why she's the warrior, cause you dont have to think, and it's the sole thing that's come naturally to her." Zayde looked out the window to where Kari had been a second ago. She'd been working on that pretty much the whole time, and atleast she'd gotten Sunste alearted to him. "Is there anyway to stay, but avoid him? 'Cause I think you're second on that list of hers, Sunste is currently first."
