Zayde stayed silent through Trei's speech. He didnt want to set somthing bigger off inside him, not to mention the steel in his eyes totally freaked him out. Good thing Zayde was the master of faces. Trei left, and Zayde was left in silence. He stood up and moved to the small sofa, feeling awkward with no one in the room but taking advantage of it. He plopped onto the plush couch and closed his eyes. Thinking was Zay's favorite thing to do, so that's what he was going to do. He started wondering from topic to topic, Trei, Kari, then he started thinking about Crown Princess Hannah. She was going to Xirra next, but she was from Cancri. Those places were almost exact opposites. Zay smiled to himself, and started defining what her exotic personality may be like all Cancri people. Warrior, first of all...diplomatic was a give or take. She would be raised to think she was equal with man, maybe more, and she was going to a place that put women next to animals in worth. Good luck, princess then Zayde realized he wasnt sure whether he meant his sister or Princess Hannah. They both seemed the same, so he started to contrast them. "This stuff is really good, you should try it," Kari called with false happiness, snapping Zay back into perspective from his half hour of comparing and contrasting the two princesses. He looked at his twin, and noticed her eyes not looking at his. He stepped up and to the table where the food lay, and was stunned at the smell. It had a mix of savory, salty, and butter mixed into one. "Smells like a seventh heaven." Zay remarked with a smile. "Looks like one." Kari said, making small talk. Zayde tried to meet her eyes, but only saw slight depression where happiness had been earlier. "Katya? You okay?" Zay asked calmly, sitting down. She didnt answer, but started picking at the plate. "Katya?" Kari's eyes flicked up at him annoyed but hiding sorrow, and she stubbornly didnt reply. Her twin sighed and started eating. Whatever was bothering her she'd have to work through on her own. Silence filled the room after that, Kari not wanting to speak, and Zayde enjoying a gourme food unlike he'd ever tasted. It was spicy and savory like it had smelled, but red vegetables crushed into the seasonings helped add a good, but odd sweetness to it. Kari looked up to see a hand maid checking in on them, and pushed the food around on her plate again, though her twin was a little more interested. "Um..Lili? Could you be so kind as to show me the guest chambers?" He walked up to the maid with a smile, but she didnt smile back. Instead she nodded and walked off to his left past three doors and opened the last without a word. "Thank-you," Lili left silently and hurriedly, annoying Zayde with her awkwardness. Atleast the room was big and had two beds. It also had a fireplace, bathroom, couch, chairs, and a desk. Zayde felt instantly at home, and dropped onto the couch. The food had made him tired and stuffed, and he wanted to think again. Why had Kari been so down? The thought led to another What did Sunste want with Karillian? Zayde mulled over the question. Xirra hated Caryi, but they didnt seem like the type to make peace with their sworn enemies. Why? He wondered.

Kari stared at the food on the delicate glass plates alone. She poked some kind of mashed vegetable, and gave up. She wasnt going to eat anymore, so why try? Kari, now Katya, stood up and walked to the window. She looked around, guards at their posts or marching, maids scurrying to their next job, and Cavalli Voltani on the ground and in the air. Wonder if that one is Trei Kari thought as her eyes followed a deeply dark speck flying up in the air. Karilian she chastised herself. Then, relief somewhat found her. Sunste wasnt with in her sight. "Stupid Sunste, this is all you're fault," she hissed to herself and looked closer at the sky. "Hello, Luna, how is your day? Crap would be too good for mine," Kari spoke to the faint outline of the moon. She smiled at herself, talking to her life-long friend. She'd always talked to Luna each night with her mother. A small tear rolled down her cheek. She missed her mother, father, the blazing sands and her own bedroom. She especially missed her slate wall, where she could always draw and doodle. Kari hiccuped and laughed at herself, the last thing she'd drawn was herself looked up at Luna, with a tear of happiness as she gazed up at the moon. But I'm not happy, and I'm not at home Kari breathed in deeply and tried to blink her tears away. She looked at the faint outline of Luna, and at the setting sun, and remembered how the sun and moon always fought for the day. "Like my life, always fighting for somthing," Kari spoke in a whisper. She looked upon the two, the red, orange, and yellow streaks looking like a battlefield. Kari wiped her eyes and looked at the skies as Luna and Sol went to battle before her eyes.
