Trei decided to mess with the guy, “I never said you did do it. I merely was asking why anyone in general did it.” It was a little curious how Sunste had to explain himself. Trei continued, not giving Sunste time to respond, “I wasn’t aware that Sien-Ra and Cayri were going into an alliance. Though I wasn’t really aware their relations were bad enough that alliance was needed.” Trei sipped from his goblet, pausing and looking it to the red liquid for a few moments before setting it down. Trei always acted different in front of high class guests, he liked to send across a certain impression. Usually he came off as cold, calculating, and not to be messed with. “Now,” Trei started, his voice still cool and refined, as if nothing would surprise him, “isn’t it,” Trei paused for a word, “interesting, that you were to marry the Princess instead of Prince Charlemagne, since he is matching in age I believe, and if not, perhaps one of his brothers?” Trei had been stirring his soup around while he asked this but now he looked right up into Sunste’s odd blue eyes, daring Sunste to make a mistake, though he was sure his parents would take it as curiosity. That was if they noticed at all, his parents were in the middle of their own conversation, probably not even paying attention to the two Princes. | |
