Trei could tell Sunste was no longer paying attention, if the Prince thought he was being disrespectful he was quite the hypocrite, Trei corrected himself, though he was positive he wasn’t listening, “I’m sorry I misspoke, Xirra and Cayri.” Trei’s eyes flashed silver when Sunste didn’t even bother to look up. Well if he was here to get his help he wasn’t doing a great job. “You’re right,” Trei held back a sneer; “I forgot Xirra was the country of sexists (Trei finished his sentence with bastards silently to himself). My mistake.” Trei was starting to get Karillian’s point of view, this guy was aggravating. Trei got how Sunste was thinking, he thought since he was older he was in charge. Which was actually politically wrong, since Trei was higher in blood, at least that was how it worked in Andato. “And I realize one does not need to be at war for an alliance, I am clear on that. But I was under the impression Xirra and Cayri were not in need of one, but it seems they may need one now. I mean if I was Prince Zayde I believe I might hold a grudge if someone almost killed me, if I was still alive at that point. And if I wasn’t I would have a hard time believing my sister would get over it either.” Trei’s eyes were silver in anger, though it was doubtful that anyone would realize it, probably they would only recognize that something made him look dangerous, though his face showed nothing, and his voice had only steeled slightly. Trei didn’t enjoy being humiliated, but he wouldn’t lash out. Only because he had been raised as a diplomatic little Prince, Trei thought to himself.
