Sunset could see he'd aggravated Prince Trei del Sol, well, much more than that but he was going to leave it at aggravated. He listened quietly to his apologies, and was happy enough with himself. Trei was right on a lot of ground, but he himself was right on the same amount also. Once he finished Sunste met his now silver glinted eyes with the corners of his mouth pulled up in the smallest smile. "First of all, you're edge will help you a lot when you're older even if you havent taken the throne yet. Second, you have your culture, I have mine. Doesnt make either of our beliefs or thoughts wrong, merely different." Sunste longed to call a servant over and request more soup, but he prolonged his thought so he could finish his words. He looked over the beautiful hall, and continued "An alliance is the best thing for a country, I believe if a country had more alliances than not, they have a better chance of avoiding war than one without. And I spoke before I did not participate in the attack upon Crown Prince Za..." Sunste's eyes immediatly shot back to Crown Prince Trei's silvery eyes. "You..." he searched the guarded eyes carefully and quickly. He would bet so much the prince had met atleast Prince Zayde, the casualness of the way he spoke the prince's name suggested that. "Have you met the Crown Prince and Princess Karillian?" he pressed, avidly interested knowing that if he didnt press he would never get an answer. Sunste then regained himself. "Excuse me, you just spoke as if you personally knew them, which you shouldnt since they have left Caryi once to visit Sien-ra for less than a week. Most people, or princes, would have said Crown Prince Zayde and not spoken of the Princess having not gotten over it...well that would be somthing wrong. The two almost hated each other, the only time they put up with each other was in their parent's presences and somtimes even not then." Sunste lied naturally. It sounded genuinly true, and if Crown Prince Trei del Sol contradicted it...well he'd have to judge the prince then. | |
