Zayde listened as carefully as he could even though Trei seemed to swirl infront of him. Then again, the room started to sway and he felt cold, then hot, then freezing, and then clammy. He listened though to the Sunste part and about the little freedom they could afford, somehow Zay could tell he wasn’t going to get a whole lot of that when he was feeling like this. But they needed to use their names again. Wow you couldn’t even last a day with the names; nice one idiot Zay criticized himself, but was happy enough when Trei left and didn’t even look over his shoulder to say bye. “See ya,” he responded blandly, though he was sure the prince hadn’t heard him. He was kind of glad because he didn’t exactly feel comfortable saying anything. Or more so he didn’t know whether he should actually say “night” or “bye” kind of thing even though Trei said it. Zayde rid his head of the annoying, puzzling thought and realized how blurred his vision had become. He stood up and felt drunk, though he’d had never tasted a spirit in his life. He hobbled to the bathroom and looked in the mirror at himself paler than normal before he felt his stomach flip and he fell onto the toilet and heaved, panting and sweaty even though he was on freezing tile. Zay wiped his mouth with a towel that had an odd green tinge to it and sat panting for a second before a second wave hit like a tidal wave. Zay gulped for air as he kept his head hanging over the porcelain bowl, gagging on acid that was still left in his mouth. “Zay?” he thought he heard distantly, and looked as the world got smaller, the tile, closer, and this sole thought, Crap “Zay?” Kari rushed out of her room when she heard awful slopping noise from the bathroom. She was thankful Trei wasn’t here, that would have been embarrassing and just annoying cause they’d just clash and Zay would be on the floor without any help. Kari tried to focus her trailing thoughts and heard a second round of gagging from the bathroom. Nasty! She wrinkled her nose but forced herself in to Zay slouched over the toilet gagging, vomit covering his mouth and in the white bowl. “Zayde?!” she stood frozen for a second only to watch him faint, and her not there to catch as his head connected with, luckily, a thicker bath mat that took away a bunch of the hit. Her twin still had a light layer of blood clotting in his shiny mousy brown hair. She rushed to him and tried to pick up her brother without getting sick on her. It wasn’t completely working, and Zay slipped back onto the floor out cold. “Great, plan B,” Kari said through clenched teeth and grabbed all the towels she could find. She rolled them up and propped her twin’s head up and put a towel under his chin just in case. He puked again even though he was out. “Grosss….eww,” Kari wanted a clothes-pin to stop the smell but she removed the towel and put another one there in it’s place and started covering him with towels. “This so better be worth it,” she said, tucking in the towels to keep her brother warm and then hopped up to the window and opened the bathroom up to the blasting cold air. Kari’s teeth instantly chattered and goose-bumps raised everywhere. She looked on her clammy and pale brother. This is going to be a long night | |
