Hannah grumbled as she picked herself from the hard street floor. The horse had thrown her off while galloping around a corner. Hannah mumbled a mix of profanity and words like, “I wonder why I don’t ride the damn horses. Nothing to be afraid of,” she grumble as she brushed herself off. Luckily she had winded up in a street that was fairly empty so no one had seen her get thrown. She shot a glare down at the imperial horse who danced at the end of the street. “What are you looking at you piece of shit. I wonder why cats are better,” Hannah said a bit sarcastically to it, she always was a little rude when she was pissed.

Her guards rounded the corner then, having followed her. Their horses were snorting out of their noses and Hannah couldn’t help but think they didn’t seem welcoming at all. “Are you okay, Princess Hannah,” the captain of the group asked her, feeling a little off since he had to look down at her. “Yes, I’m fine. I said I didn’t want to ride the damn horse, but nooo,” Hannah said, more to herself then him. Had Hannah been looking she would’ve seen the smile he was trying to hide and the open grins the other guards had. Hannah was well loved by the people of her country, especially those who weren’t of higher blood. She seemed more relatable than most royalty did.

Hannah was putting one of her calf-length, light brown, leather boots back on when the rest of the group came trotting around the corner. She shot an angry glance at Amir before turning to the Prince. “Sorry about that. Like I had said, I don’t do well with horses,” Hannah’s voice had a bit of a bite to it. “My deepest apologies for the horse taking off, Princess Hannah. I have never seen an imperial horse do that before,” The Prince did seem rather apologetic, but Hannah’s clenched jaw was still obvious.

“Well, you may have to take into account that it was me atop the beast. They seem to have a dislike for me, so it seems,” Hannah replied, more courteous now. “We can get a carriage if you would like,” Trei said to her. Hannah began to wave him off out of habit but then seemed to remember what company she was in. She was getting unused to politics it seemed, “No, I’d rather not be trapped in a carriage for the rest of the trip. I can just walk alongside everyone.” Trei shook his head, “You don’t really want to be walking around all day with us on horses. I will walk with you.” Hannah nodded and said, “Thank you for your kindness.”
