Hannah smiled inwardly a little as the boy seemed a little awkward with his long stream of questions and explanations. “Nice to meet you Demetery,” Hannah said with a smile. “I actually am not sure,” Hannah lifted the book to show him, raising her eyebrows and making a face, “I just asked for a romance. Hopeless romantic, you know,” Hannah gave a smile. “Actually, I was just going inside. You’re welcome to join if you would like,” Hannah offered. She couldn’t see how it hurt and she wouldn’t mind a little company. She had thought about going back down to the docks tonight but had already decided it wouldn’t fall under “princess etiquette.” So it wasn’t like she was really up to anything.

The princess seemed to like him, as far as he could tell, and he knew he liked her also, but his feelings were out of the question now. She'd asked whether he'd liked to join her, now he had to figure out which option would be better for his charade, let her learn false stuff about him and lead her on a totally different track than he was on, or excuse himself and avoid her all together.
