Zayde enjoyed the warmth of the hearth, but was enjoying her company more. It was odd, it seemed the fire warded off some of his dreaded clamminess, so that was good. Then she asked if he wanted to walk and get a drink, and it caught him off guard. “Oh, hmm.” His mind raced as he tried to decide whether to push his chances or go to straight to back to his rooms. It would be an instant giveaway if he went back now, maybe he could just end up in Trei’s study until he was sure there was a way to get around her. If the fire helped hold off the illness…then he could try and survive with a pot. Zay smiled, his thinking had taken less than five seconds, and not enough time to giveaway anything; she’d occupied herself standing up anyways. “Yes, I’ll accompany you. My jobs are done for the night, and most of the staff won’t be yelling about while they rush to complete the day’s chores. Uh, I hate it when the ugly clamor is ringing off the walls. But back to the point, yes, I’d love to.” He decided, realizing that was a good a response as anything.
