“Lovely,” Hannah said, her tone not quite hers as she continued the mock regality. “I’ll just alert my brother of where I am going. I’ll see if he’d want to come with us.” Hannah looked around the room, to check if she was forgetting something. Hannah stepped into the hall, followed by Demetrey. “You can wait here if you want,” Hannah said to the boy before knocking on the door beside hers. Amir’s voice called from inside, “Who is it?” “Just me,” Hannah answered. “You can come in,” He called back. Hannah let herself into the rooms, which matched her own. Amir sat at a table, still jotting down events of the past days. “Are you really still at that,” Hannah asked. “It is good to keep a record of what goes on,” Amir said, not looking up. “Yeah, it’s called your memory,” Hannah replied. “I have seen you do very much the same thing, Acidalia” Amir glanced up at her before returning to his paper. “You’re no fun,” Hannah muttered. Amir smiled slightly, “You have told me that before.” Hannah sighed, “I’m going to get something to drink, do you want to come?” “Well it matters,” Amir turned to look at her. “If I don’t come, will you sneak off somewhere and get in trouble. Say, maybe to the wharf?” Hannah rolled her eyes at him, “No, I won’t. Besides I wouldn’t leave company like that.” “Company?” Amir raised his eyebrows questioningly at her. “Yeah, Demetrey will accompany me. He works for Trei,” Hannah replied. “You always make friends, don’t you?” Amir sighed, as if it was something bad. “I’m just a peppy person,” Hannah said sarcastically, “Now, are you coming or not?” Amir looked a little torn, but he shook his head, “No, I have things to finish up here. Just don’t be stupid.” Hannah scoffed at him, jokingly, “When am I ever stupid.” “Just go,” Amir shook his head and turned back to his work. Hannah left the room, closing the door behind her. “Alright we can go now if you want,” Hannah said to Demetrey. She gave a little shudder, as her bare feet chilled on the cold floor of the hallway. “So, since you work here. Which way is towards the kitchen?”
