Hannah stood and followed Demetrey to the door, but she noticed he looked a bit shaky for some reason. The left Trei’s quarters, easily navigating their way out. Hannah stepped outside into the cool air as a servant let the two of them out. He closed the door as Demetrey stepped out after her. Hannah was glad to have her jacket, it kept the cold at bay so that the night air felt perfect. It had gotten dark out quickly, only pools of light from the lamps made it seem brighter. “So, do you like the ocean?” Hannah asked him as they made their way to the gate that led to the wharf. As Hannah stepped out of the light of the lamp her amber eyes gleamed. She wondered what Amir would be doing at the moment. It was doubtful he would be looking for her. He probably thought she wouldn’t leave since it could be considered rude. Hannah realized he would be especially mad if he found out she hadn’t taken guards. But there had been enough times Hannah had sneaked out of the palace at night without guards that it didn’t worry her. She looked up at Zayde as they walked along. Her eyes could see him fine even in the dark, so she watched him more openly than before.
