“Infirmary? No, no, I…I’m okay. It’ll pass, just…uh, please, I’ll be fine.” Zayde managed to mumble as they walked into Trei’s quarters. He was burning with pain, but as he went it was as if he couldn’t feel it. With each step the pain numbed and scooted to the back of his mind, still there but less worrisome and important. Zay’s mind started to work again, since it wasn’t completely focused on the pain. Hannah, have to get Hannah back to her room, locked in so she doesn’t come looking. She needs to get back before someone goes looking for her. Hannah… his thoughts repeated themselves, and he glanced at the princess. She looked tense, and her eyes radiated uncertainty in brief flashes before they were hidden again. Zayde instantly felt bad, he could tell it took a lot to make small flashes of feeling show in royalty, especially a Crown Prince or Princess, and he was the cause of it. He just wanted it to end, so that the pain and uncertainty he was causing Hannah could end. It wasn’t like he was in that much pain, his mental mind was fine, his pain receptors had stopped working, only his body was suffering. Which is what she can only see, get her back and she won’t have to see it anymore. You won’t see her suffering anymore over you. Zayde finally stopped and leaned against the wall. When he wasn’t moving, the pain flared more, took advantage of the lapse. “I should really…get you back…someone…will come looking…for you,” his breathing was rapid, breaking up his sentence that was complete in his mind. Zayde glanced at the halls, and remembered the one they’d left through had a stone archway, and not a wood. He zoned in on getting Hannah into her room, and tried to ignore footsteps as they started to sound louder than lightning in his ears. (That is the worst thing though, just saying to make it realer I seriously sucks to have that symptom) | |
