Hannah looked at Demetrey uncertainly as he refused to be taken to the infirmary. Hannah couldn’t help but think that this had something more to do with what he was lying about. Hannah scolded herself in her head. She shouldn’t be bothering about that now; she should be worried about getting Demetrey out of pain. They were nearing the quarters when Demetrey mumbled about getting Hannah back before someone started to look for her. Hannah nearly rolled her eyes at him but caught herself, she didn’t want to say anything bad at this point, and her sarcastic tongue sometimes got the best of her. She took a breath, “I’m fine. My brother knows I can take care of myself, and everyone else probably thinks I am still in my room. You are in worse shape. Just tell me where you need to go, I’ll help you.” Hannah could start to see better now that they were nearing the quarters surrounded by light. She may have excellent night vision, but even that wasn’t quite as good as a strong light. She could tell that Demetrey had quickly worsened on their climb here, though his face seemed a little more relaxed now.
