“Alright, no time like the present,” Trei said holding the door open for Karillian. He followed her out the door. “This way to my study, if you think he went there,” Trei said, indicating a direction to the left. He doubted Zayde would still be there though. “You know, I think I am going to go by the front entrance. I can ask whoever is waiting there if he left,” Trei told Karillian. “You can go to the study. It is that way and then you take the first left, up the stairs and then the hall on the right. It is the second door. We can meet back here in ten minutes,” Trei added. He started off towards the door, glancing back to check that Karillian was going in the right direction. He waited until she made the first left before turning back the way he was supposed to go.

And he ran right into Hannah. He took a step back after the first hit, but she fell right over. Trei guessed that was to be expected when someone was so small. But what surprised Trei more was who was standing beside the Princess. None other than the missing Prince Zayde. Trei gave him a glance before turning back to the Princess, giving multiple apologies. He helped her up with a few more apologies, but she waved him off.

“I’m fine. I swear. I just didn’t see you there, I’m sorry.” “No, it was my fault. I wasn’t paying attention. But,” Trei paused glancing at Zayde. Before he could finish his statement Hannah answered, royal protocol didn’t seem to be her thing, but that was okay with Trei. “I met your guest quite the same way as we are now. I ran into him. Literally. Again my fault, I seem to be quite off today. But, Demetrey is quite ill and needs to go back to his room. That’s where we were headed.” Trei nodded, noticing the Zayde did seem to be quite shaken, he didn’t look like he could stand much longer.

“Princess Hannah, I will take Demetrey back to his room and make sure he gets the aid needed. If you would like to return to your room, I can make sure someone comes with a hot drink,” Trei persuaded. The Princess seemed as if she was about to protest, and Trei couldn’t help but feel she would catch on if he let her stay around much longer. Again, he got the feeling that those eyes that made you feel as if you could tell her anything housed a cunning mind that picked up more than it appeared. Trei felt rude but he didn’t give her a chance, “I insist. What kind of host would I be if I let you do all the work. Besides, you had a long day and it seems a long night as well,” Trei said, glancing down at her bare feet. The people of Cancri did seem most peculiar, but that might just be the glowing eyes, Trei though.

Hannah looked like she wanted to protest, but it seemed the royal protocol was returning to her. “Of course, Prince Trei del Sol. I thank you for your hospitality.” She gave him a nod, and turned on her heel. She had quite the presence as she swept down the hall. She was making it quite clear she didn’t want to have to listen. Trei couldn’t help a slight smile. Then he turned back to Zayde and his smile disappeared. “Come on, let’s get back to your room. Your sister should be back soon.”
