“No smirk actually, more of a confused expression. I don’t think he really understood that not all people are horse people,” Hannah answered. She set the towel down for a moment, having scrubbed the wound fairly clean, and had reopened for most of the length of it, but it wasn’t bleeding heavily. She picked up a clean towel and began to tear it.

“And is that seriously a question,” Hannah gave with a light laugh, though to her is seemed a little forced but people didn’t ever catch it. She was a princess after all, and a lot of forced relationships came with it. “Someone tells you what not to do. Well then you have to. Besides, a lot of my friends aren’t exactly people who would get invited to formal banquets.” “There’s something different outside that world though. The parties are much better, in my opinion.” Hannah smiled, and this felt a little more genuine.

At that moment the door could be heard opening. Trei strode into the bathroom with a burlap sack in his hand. “No clay, but I was able to acquire some potatoes. Though I’m pretty sure I’ll have the cook making me potatoes for every meal for at least the rest of the year.” He came to stand beside the two girls, “Honestly, I had to tell him I wanted five pounds of raw potato insides to eat.” He set the sack down beside Hannah. She immediately lifted Demetrey’s leg out of the water and patted it dry. She scooped a handful of the potatoes and pressed them against the wound. She wrapped the section quickly to keep them from falling off.

Trei turned to the girl, “Kar-,” Stopped short before continuing on, “I can have someone come to look at his leg and see what they can do. It’s your decision, though, because this is a castle, and unusual information tends to get out.” “It’s up to you,” and then a brief look of satisfaction crossed his face as he added, “Katya.”
